When I first tried Muscle Check…

I used to run fitness classes at my community fitness center. One of my regular attendees saw that I was struggling with some pain in my ankle after a big run and offered me some Muscle Check. I had initially turned it down, but she was so adamant that it would help she actually took off my shoe and rubbed it on my foot & ankle right in class!

The most exciting part of my job….

All of the amazing places my feet can take me. Every day I have the opportunity to do something that fills me with joy.

When someone finds out what I do, they usually ask…

When people first hear that I run for 100s of miles at a time they usually ask "Do you sleep?"

Yes, I do sleep. Sometimes only for a few minutes at a time, but a few minutes can be a big difference when you have been running for more than 24hrs straight.

Sports I like to play…

obviously, running is my jam, but you can also find me in a gymnasium practicing handstands and backflips. Lately I have been getting into bouldering. I'll never pass up a good game of capture the flag!

I am most proud of…

I've made quite a transformation in recent years. I had this dream of running all over the world, but I was overburden with possessions and responsibilities. I sold nearly everything I had and downsized so I could pursue my dream. It was a anxious process, but I am so proud of myself for taking that leap of faith.

I own a lot of…

Shoes & jackets. I like to live small, so I don't own a lot of stuff, but I do have a ridiculous amount of shoes and jackets by any measurement.

Favorite age growing up…

8-10 years old. I was latchkey kid, so I spent a lot of time in the forest behind our house often staying out all day exploring, building forts and picking blackberries.

The most interesting person I’ve met and talked with…

Joe Kingsley of Moab, UT

An entrepreneur, developer, real estate mogul, nuclear physicist and all-around great guy. If it can be done, Joe can find a way to make it happen. He shared stories that you wouldn't believe if he didn't have the evidence to back them up.

My perfect breakfast…

A favorite race-day breakfast of mine is ramen with a couple of eggs in it. It's simple, warm, and filling.
